Exploding Appendix is committed to both an intellectual and practical investigation into an avant-gardist inspired participatory creativity. Over the summer of 2020 we aim to explore this practically with a new dance film project. The aim of this project is to explore the movement of bodies in space.  No prior expertise in dance is needed, we are more interested in how different people express themselves in particular locations. We aim to rehearse socially distanced outside in the Brighton area and start filming in September. The film will be produced and directed by Bradley Tuck, Kai Fiáin will be director of photography, and Nick Hudson (from The Academy of Sun) will be working with a musical ensemble to create the score.  We aim to create a highly collaborative project and completely welcome a range of inputs, whilst attempting to safely navigate the challenge of creating work in a period of COVID-19.  This film will be the second large Exploding Appendix film project. If you are interested in dancing or getting involved in some other way please message us at explodingappendix@gmail.com.
